Week 35 Update

So, with about 5.5 weeks to go before Baby K is supposed to arrive, we've had a few significant things occur!

1. We loaded the carseat bases into our cars.  This proved to be a bit more challenging than we expected - not that it was hard to install them, but we didn't realize how GIGANTIC the darn things are!  In our Fusion, with Baby K behind the passenger seat, a front seat passenger is best off if they are about 3 feet tall because the seat has to move up so far to accommodate the infant carrier!

2.  I packed Baby K's hospital bag!  Not much else to say about that, but "Yay!!!"

3.  On Tuesday, March 16th, I noticed belly stretch marks for the first time.  Ugh.  Thankfully, they are small and concentrated under my belly button area.  But that, too, has started to pseudo-pop.  The human body is truly a strange and remarkable thing.

4.  This Saturday, we have our "Childbirth Preparation" class all day.  I hope it doesn't freak us out!!!

We still have to pack a bag for Mommy & Daddy.  If anyone has any suggestions of "must-haves" at the hospital (besides the obvious), do share!

  1. We never had a "bag" for daddy! What the heck is that?! Dad was supposed to just show up with me, not pass out during delivery, then hang out for a while. He went home to sleep, returned every night after work to visit, then leave. Back then I stayed in the hospital 7 days because someone didn't want to enter the world in the normal way (Erin?), so a c-section meant a week stay! Glad to hear that "birth"days are changing and Dad's have an opportunity to stay at "Hotel St. Joe"! Love you both and can't wait for the phone call!

  2. Bring some device to update Facebook with! Also, some cheap slippers that you don't mind throwing away after your hospital stay. IKEA has some for a dollar! Some say to bring playing cards, games, etc... Forget all that!
