Getting Showered with Love!

On February 5 & 6, 2011, the Kostun family was blessed to be given 2 wonderful baby showers!  People traveled from near and far (Cincinnati, Columbus, Traverse City, Grand Rapids, the East Side, even North Carolina & California!) to celebrate the upcoming arrival of Baby K!  It was so humbling to know that everyone cares so much not just for this little person who is going to come into the world in about 9 weeks, but for Mike and I, too!
Saturday's shower took place at Trinity Evangelical Presbyterian Church, where I grew up and where Mike and I were married.  One of our bridal showers was there, too, and we even had it catered by the same restaurant that we ordered food for the girls from on our wedding day!  It was very special and we are especially grateful for all of those who drove there on dry roads, only to have to head home in what was more of a blizzard than had been predicted earlier in the week!
Sunday's shower was hosted by my boss, Tanja, at her home in Northville.  It was a more intimate gathering with a "white" theme to symbolize the purity of a new baby.  The grandmas and Tanja made a wonderful spread of tea sandwiches, carmelized onion dip, salads, rapsberry tiramisu, and cupcakes, which were enjoyed by all!  Again, it was such a warm feeling to be surrounded by the love of our friends and family.
Here are some photos from the weekend - we hope you enjoy them!  Baby K thanks all of you and can't wait to meet you!
P.S: We'll get some pictures of the more finished nursery in the next week or so, once the floor is uncovered!!!
